Job Title: Writer and Team Leader

Description: Location Baltimore. 
Here are some responsibilities:
-Review technical drawings, develop theory of operation, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and remove and replace procedures. 
-Prepares complete plans for accomplishing publications and training tasks. 
-Reads and interprets contracts and specifications and determines detailed requirements. 
-Prepares and writes technical manuals, publications, proposals and logistics support documentation. 
-Coordinates technical manual editing, composition, production, and delivery in accordance with applicable specifications, standards, and other requirements. 
-Responsible for maintaining schedule and performance control of assigned programs. 
-Coordinates the quality-control, Illustrations, Production activities required to ensure the accuracy and adequacy of each publication, including in-process and final review, editing for compliance with all applicable specifications and standards, validation and change verification. 
-Participates in review conferences with customers. 
-Provides direction to other writers and support personnel who may assist with assigned tasks. 

Required Skills 
-Experience in publications development to include the required contents to meet specification requirements. 
-Thorough knowledge of analog and digital electronics and good mechanical aptitude. 
-Ability to perform in-depth research, read and interpret engineering design drawings. (e.g., electrical schematics, assembly drawings, wire lists, parts list, etc.). 
-Ability to plan, organize and schedule. 
-Ability to supervise, direct and train others. 
-Ability to document all types of equipment designs. 
-Experience with aircraft maintenance and/or Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UASs) desirable. 
-Experience developing IETMs and/or XML/SGML a plus. 
-Experience with Arbortext Epic Editor also a plus. 
-Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance. 

Required Experience 
Typically requires a minimum of five to seven years related experience with a Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (electronics/mechanical), or equivalent education or experience to demonstrate the ability to successfully perform the job duties. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
