Manages editorial process from manuscript to bound book for assigned projects. Coordinates and oversees work of authors; production and marketing staff; and freelance translators, copy editors, proofreaders, indexers, and designers. Supervises research assistants. Assists with project scheduling and budgeting. Detail-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills; ability to multitask, work independently, resolve conflicts, and meet deadlines; firm grasp of standard American English. Required: B.A. in art history, English, or related academic field; M.A. preferred. 5-7 years editing and publishing experience. Reading knowledge in at least one Western European language.
