It has a reference collection of publications and other information on foundation and corporate grant making and nonprofit management including national foundations, corporate giving, IRS 990-PF forms, journals, newsletters, fundraising manuals, and proposal writing guides. Its mission is to support the practice and expansion of effective philanthropic giving. AGM is a community of foundation staff and trustees, corporate grant makers, donors and philanthropic advisory services that builds a connection with nonprofit leaders. It is a warehouse of learning both for grant makers and grant seekers. Its events calendar offers grant-related activities offered every year

The Grantsmanship Center is primarily a training organization for grant writers. The Center sponsors workshops on writing grant proposals; publishes a funding newsletter, The Grantsmanship Center Magazine, available free to qualified agencies; and sells reprints of articles related to proposal writing and fundraising. TGCI magazine provides information on how to plan, manage, staff and get grants for individuals and organizations.

Grants.gov is your source to find and apply for Federal government grants. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is the managing partner for Grants.gov. You do not have to register with Grants.gov to find grant opportunities. However, once you are ready to apply for a grant, you will need to get registered. The registration process takes 3-5 business days. You can also track grant applications on the website once they have been submitted.

The Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance lists federal grant opportunities. The online Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance gives you access to a database of all Federal programs available to State and local governments; federally-recognized Indian tribal governments; Territories (and possessions) of the United States; domestic public, quasi-public, and private profit and nonprofit organizations and institutions; specialized groups; and individuals. After you find the program you want, contact the office that administers the program and find out how to apply. On the website under “Features” is a section called “Write grant proposals.” This gives valuable tips on how to write proposals for the federal government.
